We are sending out a SOS for Pakistan, THEY ARE SUFFERING SEVERLY!!
A lady by the name of Nadia Pasha contacted me, to inform me of the immediate needs for Pakistan. What she shared about the difficulties being endured by the Pakistani people and the details of their needs touched my heart. As a result, I have issued a SOS for The People of Pakistan. As of today, August 26th, 2010, Share Our Shoes (SOS) is excepting any gently worn shoes and bottled water. Nadia Pasha is originally from Pakistan and still has family there; she will be working with us to communicate ongoing needs as well as working out the details to transport the donated items to Pakistan.
More than 20 million people have been affected by the floods, which is more than the number of people affected by the 2005 South Asia tsunami, the 2005 South Asia earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake combined. It is just so sad. Help is urgently needed!
Amount of Foreign Donations given per flood victim is VERY low compared to other such disasters:
Haiti Earth Quake Victims: Received $1,087.33 per victim Tsunami Victims: Received $1249.80 per victim Kashmir Earth Quake Victims: $388.33 per victim Pakistan Flood Victims:THE WORLD TOGETHER has provided them $16.36 per victim (Information gathered from www.TheAtlantic.com, writer Max Fisher)
“Unfortunately this disaster has not received enough coverage and people are still unaware of the intensity of the disaster” says Nadia. It is said to be 10 times worse than hurricane Katrina, which we all know was absolutely devastating!
SOS understands the IMMEDIATE attention that is needed. There are millions of families that are affected…OVER 20 million individuals are suffering and we are asking our community and anyone wanting to help, to bring items to the Share Our Shoes location.

A SPECIAL thank you to Chris Pipes, of C3 Church, for the time he donated, being the SOS spokesperson in this video. He did an Amazing Job.
We would also like to add a SPECIAL thank you to ALL our drop box locations, which are helping us collect for Back to School Kids, in need of proper footwear...Without them, this would not be possible!
